Facewatch

There are so many horrific crimes being reported on TV today as ITV1's 'This Morning' try to help raise public awareness of unsolved crimes as they do on a regular basis. Some of the crimes being reported are horrific, it really does make you wonder how people can be so vicious to other human beings.

It also raises awareness on how clever technology is in this day and age and how it can help raise awareness and solve crimes.

There is an app you can download to your smart phone for free called 'Facewatch' which has images of people sourced from the police database who need identifying for crimes they have committed. You can scroll through the images for your local area and see if there is anyone you know and anonomously contact the police with the details. How quick, simple and clever. Although I can imagine a lot of people still wouldn't want to contact the police if they did recognise someone. You have to just think that if an horrific crime happened to you like an assult or rape, wouldn't you want the culprit caught before they did it again? caught and brought to justice as they should be.

Times are tough for a lot of people at the moment but it's no excuse for such terrible crimes.
