Outfit of The Week || Denim Midi Skirt

Topshop, Mirror Selfie, How to wear a midi skirt, Selife, OOTD, SS18, Fashion,

When Savannah goes to nursery on a Friday I use that time as 'me time'. There is always stuff that needs doing like housework so that the house is clean and tidy enough for the weekend and there is never a time that the wash basket is empty however, in spite of all of that, I love making the most of the child free time and doing stuff I want to do.

There have been many times that I have just gone for a walk or read my book but my favourite thing to do is meet friends for coffee or lunch. Child free, grown up time. BLISS.

This is what I wore for a recent coffee date in town. It was a lovely spring day; not too hot or too cold and beautifully sunny.

Both the top and skirt are from Topshop. The skirt is a recent purchase so still available but the top is old so I have found some similar items which you can shop on the links below. The shoes are also an old purchase from Warehouse which I still love to wear all these years later. They are getting a bit tatty now though sadly so I may need to look in investing in a new pair!

I think it is so important to have some time to yourself doing the stuff you love doing whatever that is. When Savannah goes to reception I will still keep Fridays as 'my' day. I will have the other four days a week to work and do the housework and weekends are for family time so it will be nice to have that time for myself. I plan on taking Savannah for a cake or milkshake after schools on a Friday too as a way of marking the start of our weekend.

What do you like to do when you're child free?
