A VERY long while ago now I was invited to try out the new Wasabi restaurant at Intu Lakeside. The Eatery area there has had a major revamp now with lots of great new restaurants and Wasabi is one of them.

The food was delicious and fresh which, I will be honest, I didn't expect. I don't really know what I expected really, I guess something like a chinese take out. 

I opted for a catsu curry and Patrick ordered a bento, both of which were absolutely delicious! (I of course tasted his for the purpose if this review.....several times!) The portion sizes are very generous too, I was completely stuffed afterwards!

We seated ourselves in one of the pods near where wasabi is located which was nice as it gave us a  private dining experience (think of a VIP booth in a club).

Overall I was more than impressed with Wasabi, I honestly didn't expect to enjoy it as much as I did (I expected to enjoy of course though!). It was fresh, flavoursome, piping hot and so delicious. I know I sound cliché but I would honestly eat from there again.
