On Sunday 7th September I attended the Lush Lakeside Blogger Event with a few other lovely Essex bloggers where we were told about Lush's new, best selling and all time favourite products.
For anyone who has either never heard of or shopped at 'Lush Cosmetics' (I cannot stress enough that you MUST shop there soon if that is the case) they are a company which specialise in handmade and 100% vegetarian beauty products for your skin and hair. I am a huge fan; their products are truly amazing and really work, if I have had skin issues I buy something from Lush to ease it whether it is a reaction, very dry skin or a bad breakout. Even if my skin is playing ball I buy their stuff as it is natural so doesn't strip natural oils from your skin. I have even managed to get my husband addicted as he now uses a hand cream from there which really soothes and improves the dry, cracked skin on his hands caused by eczema. (And my husband is a very blokey 'I'm not using hand cream' kinda guy).
We played games and were given skin care advice and demonstrations, we also got to make our own face masks in two groups. Our group made a yummy mint chocolate one which I have of course used a few times and it not only smells amazing but made my skin feel cleansed and soft after use, just what I would expect from a Lush face mask. Whilst mixing it together it felt as though we were making a cake, it was hard not to lick the spoon!
The three members of staff - Guy, Sarah and Katie were lovely; informative, knowledgable, funny and down to earth and made the whole evening really enjoyable. You can tell they are passionate about the products they sell. It was interesting to hear what products are Lush's biggest sellers, how they are made and what ingredients are in them as well as learn about other products I have not yet tried. We got a brilliant goody bag at the end full of treats and I also purchased some well needed hair products I had been recommended to help with post pregnancy breakage.
It was nice to sees couple of familiar faces as well as finally meet some other lovely bloggers in person that I have chatted to on Twitter time and time again.
If you have not visited Lush's Lakeside store you must, the staff are always friendly and attentive. It is located on the ground floor by the lifts.
I will feature some of the event on my YouTube channel very soon but for now here are some snaps of the event.
Enjoy!

We still receive compliments from our guests about the banquet halls in Chicago, the service and the food. I felt we got really lucky when we found out this space.
