Why is it that when you're pale, people tell you that you need a bit of colour? And if you say you like being pale, people laugh?

Why can't I like being pale?

Sun worshippers just don't seem to believe that someone can enjoy their milky coloured skin. Don't get me wrong there have been the odd occasions over the years where I have wished I could get just a little bit of colour - mainly because being pale shows up more of your skins imperfections! Nowadays however, I can't help but love being pale, when I see photos of pale celebrities with a slick of red lippy it makes my heart flutter! I think it looks so glamorous and elegant and I love it.

Maybe if I actually could get a sun tan and go a lovely golden colour I would feel differently but in all honesty, as much as I love the sunny weather I HATE laying out in it. I can't think of anything worse than just laying there, baking and sweating, doing NOTHING - I would rather be in the pool or in the sea or mooching around somewhere. I hate 'tan lines' with a passion too so in all honesty I really don't think I would be a sun worshipper. I know pale people who love the sun and desperately try and tan or they lay out in it smothered in factor 50 because they love the feeling of the rays beaming down in their skin. I love that feeling for the first few hours of my holiday but once I am used to it and have forgotten what the grey English skies look like I want to go and do stuff.

Fake tan is a no go for me too, I know there are so many great products out there nowadays as I have seen them but in all honesty I can't be agged with the effort. I don't think it ever goes on well and it smells funny plus when it starts to wash off it makes your skin look blotchy.

Nope, as shocking as it may be I like my pale skin.
