LIFE | New Mum!

Nappy Cake, Nicki Kinickie

Hello!

It has been a while since I updated you on what has been going on in life but that is because I have of course been busy having a baby. That's right, nine days overdue my baby finally made an appearance and we had a  little girl called Savannah (I say little, she was 9lbs the little chunk!)

We are over the moon in love with her and enjoying being parents even with the interrupted sleep! It really is amazing how you just take to parenthood even when you have no clue what you are doing. I genuinely thought I would have a meltdown every time she cried for too long and I didn't know why or the first time I fed her or changed a nappy but it has all been fine. If you do something wrong then you learn for next time. No one is a perfect parent and no one knows exactly what to do the first time, you learn as you go and it's an amazing journey.

Little Savannah has been very lucky to have lots and lots of visitors and receive lots of lovely presents. I don't think there has been any other time in my life that I have made or drank so much tea or coffee!

Thank you very much to everyone who has sent me well wishes and congratulations, thank you to our friends and family who have been over to meet her and given her gifts and thank you to every one else in between!

I can't believe she is here and I am a mum, it's an amazing feeling.

Congratulations to you! I'd imagine that you now have a ton of blog topic inspiration with the arrival of little Savannah (love the name!). Writer's block will be a thing of the past...until further notice anyway.
