Autumn Days.

I have said it before, I will say it again and no doubt write about it every single year but I LOVE AUTUMN!

I know I should be sad when that first cold wind breezes past having only just had humid hot weather and I should be miffed about putting on tights under dresses and swapping sandals for boots but I am not ashamed to say that I'm not miffed one bit!

Autumn is my favourite time of year! I love that it is cold but not freezing and all it takes is a good chunky knit cardigan to make you feel snug or a cuddle on the sofa while watching a film. I also love the fashion. I love summer fashion don't get me wrong but for me, nothing beats AW fashion items. I love bobble hats, thicks scarves and gloves, I love brown leaves, I love Halloween, bonfire night, then the countdown to Christmas (the countdown is BY FAR the best bit, the aftermath when no -one plays christmas songs anymore, the tree is up but no one cares and everyone has eaten too much is very a very sad time indeed).

I love having candles and fairy lights on to give a cosy light around the house and love having hot drinks like cocoa on the sofa at night. It all feels so magical. I think that is what I love about it all really; it is happier, magical time of year. Summer is amazing obviously for it's long hot days, BBQ's, holidays, ice cream and beer garden afternoons but Autumn is the winner in my eyes.

This weekend kicks off Autmum for us as it is our wedding anniversary and we are going away. Next month is my birthday (which scares me more than anything these days but I love having an excuse for a get together so look forward to it!) then it is Halloween, Bonfire night (I love wrapping up warm, holding a sparkler and watching pretty bright lights in the sky while eating a burger) after that (well before that in retail!) it is all about getting ready for the big man in red coming to visit.

I can't wait!!
