Saturday night we went out for a lovely family meal with my Mum, Stepdad, Nan and Grandad to celebrate Mothers Day. I love going for family meals - what could be better? Getting together with the people I love and eating amazing food! Enjoying a lovely glass of wine or two and getting dressed up. I could eat out every single night of the week if I could afford it!

We went to The Rose Garden in Leigh on Sea where we all opted for yummy steak and chips for dinner  and had a lovely natter.

It got very busy as the night went on but that added to the friendly atmosphere. The staff were extremely helpful and the food was delicious and what was even nicer was you were able to take your time eating your courses and were given time between them. You weren't rushed to eat up and go which is a major pet hate of mine when dining out.

I gave mum some mothers day cupcakes which went down well - especially with her husband! I can imagine they have been enjoyed today. I always like to give my nan a card too as she insists on no presents but does a lot for me so I like to say thank you.
