So much for sisterhood!

Recently you will have most probably read about Katie Price's article in which she referred to Kelly Brook as a 'heffer'. (If you haven't - WHERE have you been?! Quick! read the story here.)

I am not one to sit behind a computer screen and slag off a woman I don't know (unlike Ms. Price) but I did want to write about it because frankly, I found the whole thing gasp inducingly shocking! Whatever happened to us women sticking together and appreciating eachother for what and who we are? We seem to be turning ever more into a nation where we feel we can criticise other girls for the slightest little thing such as being a bit curvier or not having perfect teeth. It's nonsense! We are not a perfect species and it is our imperfections that make us who we are.

I am in no way a fan of Katie Price, I admire her ambition, bow down in respect to the amount of money she has made and appreciate the brand she has turned herself into as well as how said brand has stood the test of time having now been around for well over a decade but that is where my thoughts about her end. I am not a fan of any reality TV in the slightest so have never watched any of her offerings into this genre of entertainment, neither am I a fan of full on fakery so have never aspired to copy her look in any way (her underwear range was very good  actually though).

WHY someone would give her a column to spout off her thoughts I really don't know (but then it is The Sun) I say this simply because in my eyes, she never has anything positive or inspirational to say about anything or anyone (I have just answered my own question as to why she has the column haven't I?). This to me seems to spawn from a deep rooted insecurity, she is naturally a very attractive woman and yet has felt the need to continually pump chemicals into her face and have her body nipped, tucked, stretched, pulled and whatever else in order to make herself feel more happy in her own skin. Step forward Kelly Brook, who when you look at it does a very similar job to Katie Price; she takes her clothes off and poses for pictures (Yes I know she has acted but if we are honest it is her bikini pictures we really know her for rather than her performance in Piranha 3D) The only difference is Kelly Brook is a naturally beautiful, curvy girl who oozes self confidence. Despite the fact Jordan has happily peeled her clothes off for the camera more times than we could ever count there is always something a bit (dare I say) 'desperate' about it whereas Kelly always looks happy, content and comfortable in her own skin.

Katie Price's comment that she looked like a 'heffer' on her bikini shoot is absolute nonsense and only the words of someone who knows deep down that she actually looks stunning. The words of someone who is realising after years of sunbeds, surgery, botox and god knows what else that what we were given naturally really is more beautiful than anything you can buy.

Such a shame....

Totally echo your sentiments here - the vast majority of women have such huge issues with body image and I'm sure that if we all stuck together and actually were nice to each other, helped each other and didn't tear each other apart, we would all be much happier.

Totally. It makes you just look nasty and bitter too when really you are just putting all ur insecurities onto someone else. So sad. Xx

I totally agree with you. What gives her the right? Kelly Brooke is gorgeous and i think more people would want to look like her than Katie price. Great post x

Thank you :) Yes I know who I would prefer to look like! Even when I look in the mirror and see wrinkles I still cant think about botox! Xx

Beautiful!
I love your eloquent choice of words!
This generation is full of reproduced judgmental women; we can no longer admire others. I guess it is because it is easier to spot the wrongs of somebody than to admire and congratulate their success and positives.
I enjoyed this post so much I had to follow!

I don't understand why Jordan still has an urge to use her tongue (or fingers while writing her article) in order to get some publicity. There is difference between being honest and nasty and she should've know it by now. I started following you :)
