Hump Day

Today is Wednesday. Hump day. Only today my hump day has been because I have HAD the hump. You ever have one of those days where everything from the moment you wake up aggrevates you and makes you just want to crawl back under the duvet? Yup, that was my day today!

I do know it was mainly because of having a cold again and it compromising my judgement, movement and concentration (not to mention making me feel lathargic) and I found myself feeling like I didn't to talk to anyone today.

My run was the worst I have done this week because of not being able to breathe properly and then when I got back for a well needed shower there was still no hot water (last night the gas ran out so I had to rush out and buy more only to find when I got back the boiler wouldn't come back on so no hot water or heating). I had my freezing shower and then had a look again at the boiler, managing to reset it so lucky hubby got a hot shower. Super wife!

Getting ready for work I found every time I applied make up my nose ran like a tap, I kept walking into things and burnt my finger badly on my GHD's.

At work all I wanted to do was be asleep; that horrible 'ill' tiredness where the most simplest of jobs takes twice as long and twice the brain power yet still you can't quite do it right.

As soon as got in from work I went to bed and fell asleep straight away. It did me good although when my alarm went off so I could get up and do dinner I did feel as though I wanted to just turn over and go back to sleep again.

Dinner was a yummy homemade low fat curry though which cheered me up and I am now snuggled on the sofa, about to fall asleep on hubby who is watching football, having just enjoyed a midweek treat of hot chocolate (with rice milk so it is far less fattening!).

I hope everyone had a nice hump day on the first full week back at work this year! The weekend is not too far away.
