More good news!

I am very happy to advise that I have managed to get myself a job. Yippeeee!!

A very exciting and interesting job too in a new office for someone who has had his own company for a few years now and is expanding in workload so needs to move into an office and hire someone to help with the workload. I am really looking forward to starting a role from scratch and making the job my own. Very exciting!

I will now also be earning money to fund my shoe addiction. Always a bonus!

Needless to say, hubby and I are very pleased - I am very happy to know I will be earning my own money again and be able to buy my husband a nice gift for our first wedding anniversary as well as know we will be more than sorted for christmas. I am also thinking of putting my first wage towards a little weekend away for us both seeing as it has been a stressful couple of months!

It's worked out really nice for us actually, it's almost like we had to go through a really worrying time first to appreciate the fact both of us are going to be back in work again and I certainly will be appreciative when I'm back in the working world that's for sure. I really don't know how some people don't want to work. It's horrible having so much free time with only the housework to do and friends to see only every now and then when they have a day off. Daytime TV is awful and not worth watching. My writing and blogging is the only thing that has kept me sane really! It's horrible not having your own money too, your own little fund to do with what you wish whether it is to go out with friends or save, go shopping or on a nice day out. It has been horrible to not be able to meet a friend in town for a coffee or go on nights out for friends birthdays. That can all change now though!

It is also not very nice feeling as though you don't really have a purpose! I have obviously done my 'housewife' tasks in keeping the flat clean and tidy and making dinner (and when I was first off I was obviously getting better) but there's nothing more satisfying in having a job and a purpose, making a difference and going home knowing you have worked hard and feeling proud of that. Don't get me wrong, I know most days all of us hate getting up and going to work and would love to spend the day somewhere else but without money there isn't much you can do!

I will of course, keep doing this blog as I really enjoy doing it and get lovely feed back from those of you who read it regularly so I know people do enjoy my little posts!

We have friends coming over tonight as it is my turn at out ongoing 'come dine with me' competition. I am looking forward to cooking and am looking forward to having a glass of wine or two to celebrate my good news!

Hope everyone has a lovely weekend.

xx
