Standing up for a good laugh.

I don't know about you but I just LOVE comedy.

What better way to make yourself feel better than escapism and belly laughing. With so many channels available on TV these days, there are so many types of comedy available from repeats of your favourite sitcom to modern 'no audience' sitcoms to comedy chat shows like Alan Carr's 'Chatty Man' to stand up. I must admit, stand up is currently my favourite thing to watch comedy wise. The great thing about modern TV too is there are stand up series like 'Live at the Apollo' which I love and will always be put on if there isn't anything else on the hundreds of other channels worth watching.

When my neighbour came downstairs the other night for cider and pizza we ended up watching lots of stand up on YouTube and crying with laughter. The cider probably aided that slightly of course but all in all it was because of the vast array of brilliant stand up comedians we typed in and watched. There is so much talent in comedy.

To me, as much as I love sitcoms of all kinds, from the UK or from across the pond, old school and tacky or modern and awkward, for me stand up always wins hands down as my favourite genere of comedy. I don't know how they do it but I will always end up belly laughing.

It's great for an instant uplift!
