Titanic 3D!
I don't know about anyone else but I am very excited about the upcoming re-release of the 1997 blockbuster Titanic in 3D. I have seen it hundreds of times and saw it more than once at the cinema when it originally came out, but have told my husband that we MUST go and see it when it is out again on April 4th.
I'm not sure whether it is because it was one of my favourite films as a teenager or because it marks the 100th anniversary of the voyage and sinking of the Titanic (I am history geek so have read about the fateful voyage many many times!) Maybe it is just the fact that I haven't watched it in probably ten years or more, back when I was a hopeless romantic and had years of mistakes, dreams, learning and experience in front of me. Now I will be watching it as an adult, happily married, contented and a continuing attendee at the University of Life. I will definitely be watching it through very different eyes than before! It will be lovely to step back in time and go to see a film at the cinema I loved so much when I was younger.
One feeling that will remain the same though, is the tragedy and sadness of the events on that historic night of April 14th 1912. We can never imagine what those passengers went through and suffered.
On a lighter note, Kate Winslet looked absoultely STUNNING in a Jenny Packham dress at premiere of the 3D film in London last night. She is effortlessly demure, glamourous and beautiful and I bet she can't believe it has been 15 years she played the role that catapulted her to international stardom.
Not long to wait now! May have to dig out my Titanic soundtrack CD....
The hot dogs go on....again!
